weird sizing and thick chamois
"I wanted to love these bibs. I sized up according to recommendations and they still feel weirldy tight around the thighs, maybe because of the pockets, but i have plenty of other shorts with pockets that dont fit like this. The chamois is on the thick side which made for an uncomfortable ride. Im so bummed because I really hoped they would work."

Weird fit
"I own the expedition shorts in a size large and LOVE them, so I figured I’d try the expedition bibs (size large). Unlike the shorts, the cut on the bibs is super weird. The inseam is much shorter than normal, so much that I don’t want to wear them for gravel biking (bc I want to cover them with mtb shorts). And where most other bibs shorts have fabric that fits comfortably over my stomach and lower back, these have a weird fabric seam that feels and looks like ultra low rise shorts with fabric attached above. The bib strap attachment points are so low that it creates an awkward fabric gap down from my shoulders front and back. In addition to looking weird, it pulls in strange places and is not comfy to ride in at all. I’m 5’10” and athletic, consistently a large in Pearl Izumi. At a minimum I would recommend sizing up, but prob don’t purchase if you’re taller than about 5’8”."

"I am blown away by the comfort and fit of these. I got them in a sale just because I needed plain black bibs and I liked the pockets on the legs. They instantly became my new favorite!! The fit is perfect and the chamois divine. I usually go for Castelli, Rapha, Pactimo, and Girodana and these are better. The pockets are deep but yet also slim and hold items securely. The drop tail works without having too much extra fabric. Now I want another pair! I’m almost universally a medium and medium is perfect. Not too compressive yet holds me in place. I’m 5 8 135"
