Cargo pockets, PI Dry® water shedding, and a fit that still feels good hours in. Built for the road that turns to dirt.
Exploring a new road, a surprise creek crossing, stumbling upon a new cafe, or just perfect weather and the right mix of friends. Gravel embodies the unexpected, and encourages us to see what’s over that next rise. Our line of gravel-geared apparel is ready to embrace your adventure. With features like cargo pockets, PI Dry® water-shedding treatment, moisture-wicking fabrics, and a comfortable fit that feels great hours-in, get ready to explore the road ahead.
Gravel provides the freedom to step away from traditional road or MTB apparel. Bar bags and cargo-pocket-bibs have changed the game, making it possible to carry jackets, flat kits, and snacks in your jersey or jacket without three back pockets. Mix in a henley, tank, or stick with a standard high-performance road jersey and enjoy the ride.
The only rule regarding what to wear when riding—from gravel roads to the trails—is to wear what’s comfortable. If you prefer the compressive fit of technical fabrics, choose padded bib shorts or cycling shorts. If you prefer more freedom of movement, try our looser MTB shorts.
Gravel days rarely stay the same temperature they started at. PI Dry® treated shells shed surprise showers and creek spray, packable wind layers stow in a cargo pocket until the descent, and vests keep your core warm while your arms stay free to work the bars.
The best gravel footwear combines elements of both road and trail models to provide a nimble, yet resilient, middle ground. By pairing the sleek forms of road-focused designs with SPD compatibility and MTB walkability, plus using highly durable materials, we’ve created a gravel collection ready to take you on any mixed terrain adventure.
Gravel cycling is riding on unpaved roads and mixed surfaces, usually on a drop-bar bike with wider tires. It sits between road and mountain biking, so gear blends road efficiency with trail durability.
Start with a padded bib or short and a jersey with cargo capacity, since gravel rides tend to run long and self-supported. Add a packable wind or PI Dry® shell, gloves, and gravel-specific shoes with walkable tread.
Yes. Road apparel gives you an efficient fit for long miles, and mountain bike apparel gives you looser coverage and durability. Gravel-specific pieces borrow from both, adding cargo storage and water-shedding fabrics for mixed terrain.
Cargo bibs add stretch pockets to the legs or lower back so you can carry food, a phone, or a flat kit without loading your jersey. They are worth it on rides longer than two hours or anywhere you are riding self-supported.
Gravel shoes use a two-bolt SPD cleat and a lugged, walkable outsole, so you keep traction when you dismount for a steep pitch or a creek crossing. Road shoes work on smoother gravel but are slippery and awkward off the bike.
PI Dry® is our durable water-repellent treatment that makes fabric shed water instead of soaking it up, while still letting the garment breathe. It is built into gravel jerseys, bibs, and shells so a surprise shower or creek spray does not end the ride.
Aim for a fit that stays comfortable hours in rather than the tightest possible cut. Bibs should feel supportive with the chamois locked in place, and a jersey should lie flat without flapping while still leaving room to load cargo pockets.
