No winter riding kit is complete without the right headwear, and the AmFIB® Lite Balaclava delivers focused protection for cold-weather miles. Designed specifically for cyclists, this winter cycling balaclava combines targeted wind-blocking with breathable insulation to keep you comfortable through fluctuating conditions and high-output efforts.

A panel of Polartec® Wind Pro® fabric across the front shields your face and forehead from icy wind and road spray, while highly breathable thermal fabric on the top and back allows heat and moisture to escape, preventing the dreaded mid-ride chill. The hinged face panel easily pulls down for quick temperature regulation or snack breaks on the go, and a rear ponytail port adds extra comfort for riders with longer hair. It fits smoothly under any helmet, and the contoured hem integrates cleanly with jackets and jersey collars for a low-bulk fit that stays in place.

Match it with a winter cycling jacket and winter-ready gloves for a complete cold-weather riding system.

So Comfy!

"It’s summer, and the heat index has been in the low 100s, so I haven’t worn it yet, but I tried it on, and it’s SO COMFY! I don’t want to rush winter, but I’m excited to try this balaclava on a cold-day ride!"

Comfy fit

"The fabric moves well and doesn't restrict head movement. The leading edge rides up a bit above brow line."

— Sean G. (5/5)

Perfect for winter hiking and cycling

"Wore one these in the Army and hated that wool model. This one is super comfortable and effective."

— Pete J. (5/5)

Comfortable and effective.

"Comfortable and effective. Warm, wicking, great for cold weather rides."

— Logan B. (5/5)

It’s ok - does the job

"I got this as an alternative to my bontrager. This is a lighter, more tight fitting balaclava than that one Pros- fits tightly around the skull and doesnt move. Cons- loose about the face and not vented to help with fogging. Does pull down wasily in the front and shields the neck well Verdict- does the job. Is not my first choice"

Best fitting

"Love this ! perfect fit ! I use it in winter as well under my ski helmet"

"Very satisfied. Material feels good against the skin, blocks wind very well, and is very warm. It’s comfortable when pulled down but tends to leave a little gap for wind to hit the bottoms of your ears. The headband stays in place and has some extra wind protection. My only qualm is really a just a problem with all balaclavas, it’s a little stifling to breath when it’s pulled up. I would definitely recommend this product."

Soft, warm, comfortable, pick. . . all 3?

"Excellent Balaclava for cold days in the saddle! Nice and thin so it fits under your helmet easily, but adds plenty of warmth for even the coldest winter days. I was using the helmet liner (also great) with a separate neck gaiter before, but the integrated gaiter is nice as it doesn't slip down as easily. Oh and the fabric is almost impossibly soft. . . I'll probably buy a second one!"

— John (5/5)

The One for the nastiest days

"Living in the mountains we have six months of potential freezing temps during which we gotta keep riding. The Balaclava is a must have for the coldest days (and nights)."

— Griff M. (5/5)

Seems like it will help me get out when it's cold out!

"Where the "v-seams" land by the ears needs some adjusting to cover adequately. Kind of wish it went straight down as a solid piece of fabric before opening up for the eyes, but it will work for me."
