Quest is PEARL iZUMi's value-focused everyday line: cycling-specific fabrics and construction in a more forgiving fit, built for weekend rides and daily commutes rather than racing. The women's line covers short sleeve and thermal jerseys, padded shorts, thermal tights and bib tights, wind and insulated jackets, gel gloves, and road and studio shoes. See the full range in Quest.
It is the line we would point a new rider to first. The fit is the most forgiving in the range, so you get real performance fabrics and a proper chamois without the compression of a race kit. It also covers a wide temperature range, which means one Quest kit plus a jacket handles most of the year.
Fit and chamois are the main differences. Quest runs closer to relaxed and uses the SELECT Levitate™ chamois. Attack adds balanced compression and the dual-density ELITE Levitate™ chamois for higher mileage. PRO is the race tier with the most advanced fabrics and the closest cut. Construction quality is consistent across all three.
The SELECT Levitate™ chamois, which is tuned for everyday comfort across a wide range of ride lengths rather than for race-pace efforts. It is the entry tier of the Levitate platform and shares the same shaping approach as the tiers above it. The Chamois Guide explains the differences.
A jacket with removable sleeves, so it works as a full jacket on a cold start and converts to a vest once you have warmed up or the weather turns. The Quest line includes both a Barrier Convertible and a Convertible Wind Jacket, which makes them useful on days with a wide temperature swing.
Yes. The more relaxed fit reads less like a race kit, which suits commuting, and the Quest Studio Shoes are built specifically for indoor cycling. If you would rather wear everyday clothing over a padded layer, shorts with liners are the better starting point than a traditional cycling short.
Comfortably close, not compressive. A Quest jersey should skim the body without clinging, and Quest shorts should feel snug enough to keep the chamois centered but should not grip like a race short. If you want a tighter, faster feel, size into Attack instead. The Size & Fit Guide compares the fits directly.
