USE SIMPLE DETERGENTS WITH NO ADDITIVES Never use detergents with fabric softeners, perfumes or any additive type product. The general rule of thumb is the simpler the better. Many detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance. Typically the best detergents to use will have "Clear" or "Free" in their names. Don't pour the detergent directly onto the clothing, put it in the washer first, when you start the water. If something is not functionally working, but is not dirty, try rinsing it twice in warm to hot water. This will help get rid of the harmful surfactants. READ THE CONTENT CARE LABEL: On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece. On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions. On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves YOU CAN USE THE DRYER, CAREFULLY: If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting). This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities. If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.

Reviews
Good first impression
"I just received my jacket in August so I haven't had the weather to use it yet. The fit is good the quality is good. a chest pocket would be nice, but I knew that before my purchase, I have pearl izumi products and like them so to be honest it was price and color that sold me."
No Rear Pocket!
"I was very disappointed when I found that there was no storage pocket on the back. I thought that differentiated it from a plain old shirt."
Great fit
"I really like the fit. It's not super tight like many of the Euro brand, but not too loose either. Good for layering."
Good fit and well made but over priced
"Well made, nice zipper, good color, and good wind protection. But - its feels like Pearl is cutting corners. Missing zip pocket in back. For this price I would like to have pit zips for ventilation and access to covered jersey pockets. Then dropping the zip stuffing pock would be fine."
Disappointed
"Same as my review for the long sleeve jersey. It was short in the torso length and I was expecting a slightly heavier weight."
"Great fit, perfect for rain & wind"
nice jacket
"fit well"
Not what I expected
"I was expecting the quality and design of the convertible jacket, but this one is overpriced considering it is super thin, cut a bit too short, has no pockets, and no ventilation. It feels cheap and I felt a little cheated by the price and quality"
Great jacket but its definitely
"Great jacket but its definitely a road cycling fit , a little tighter fit than I expected"
Sloppy Fit
"I haven't had a chance to ride with this jacket yet; but, my first impression is that it is just ok. It is not tall enough, yet it feels rather baggy both in the arms and around the middle. I'm sure it will be fine; but, I'll also be watching for a better fit."
