FAQs
The Merino Air 7" Socks are lightweight merino wool cycling socks built for comfort across every season, from endurance rides to commutes.
- Are merino socks good in hot weather?
Yes. Lightweight merino breathes and manages moisture naturally, so it stays comfortable in warm weather as well as cold, which is why these work across all seasons. - Do merino socks smell less?
Yes. Merino is naturally odor-resistant, so these stay fresh longer between washes than most synthetic socks. - Will they stay in place?
Yes. A 360 degree arch tension band keeps them from shifting mid-ride. - What are they made of?
47% wool, 49% nylon, and 4% spandex. The nylon adds durability to the merino. - How do they compare to the Transfer Air 7" Sock?
The Transfer Air 7" Sock is the synthetic choice for peak heat and maximum airflow. For colder or rougher rides, the Merino Trail 7" Sock is the sturdier merino option. - How do I wash them?
Wash cold and skip fabric softener. Air-drying helps them keep their shape and stretch longer.

A bit on the smaller side
"Love the feel of Marino wool socks. Perfect for all season riding especially the cooler shoulder seasons. I do think size 10.5 is in between sizes. I do find the large size to be slightly on the smaller side and the extra large to be way too big."
My Favorite Socks
"These socks are so comfy for cycling and running. I love them."
Hole Already!?!!
"Fit is great, ankle length is great, nice and cool for summer riding, but got a hole is the side heal after a dozen or so rides. Bummed but I’ll keep them going until the hole is too big."
Merino Air 7" Sock
"Sock is good overall, however it measures out closer to an 8" or 9" cuff"
Hole in toe on 2nd wear.
"Low quality sock at a high quality price. I wore these socks on two bike rides, they were on my feet for a total of about 5 or 6 hours and I got a hole in the toe of one of the socks. And for the record my toenails stay trimmed - I have never had this happen on a pair of new socks even if lower quality. These socks are very thin and not durable at all."
Great socks
"These are great socks. I use them for mountain biking even on hot days."
Not the quality that I expected
"After only 2-3 wears, I have a run in one sock and the toe seam completely fail on another."
Socks
"Feels great"
Merino Air 7" Sock
"Form fit, doesn't droop down, will purchase another pair"
Love the socks but they last just a few weeks
"Love the material, comfort, and length of these Pearl Izumi merino bike socks. Unfortunately, both pairs developed holes quickly just after a few months of use in the area between my foot and shoe. I’m very careful with wool clothing and usually find merino lasts a long time, so the durability was disappointing."
