Best bib I own
"I'm 6'0" and 180 lbs, and I ordered a medium based on the sizing chart. The fit is very tight, but that’s what I expected. I only wear these for races or very long training rides, but I’ve already noticed some light surface wear just beneath the chamois. It’s superficial; I expect that trade-off when low weight and breathability take priority over durability. If I ordered again, I might try a large, though I’m concerned it would fit better at the waist and thighs but leave the straps too loose. Overall I'm very happy with the product as a whole. The chamois is incredibly comfortable and the material keeps me cool on super hot days in the South."
Pi PRO/Black Bib ROCKS!!
"I’ve been a Pearl guy for years. This combination of fabric and padding is by far the best they’ve ever made. They are snug without being restricting or uncomfortable. I ride long both in training and racing and so far I’ve suffered none of the “soft tissue” numbness that I’m prone to. Only thing… I’de have to say that these bibs might run just a little small"
I had high hopes
"I’m 5’8”, 135 lbs and wear XS. These run extremely tight. The chamois is average at best. It's relatively flat with no dimension, and doesn't compare to other popular brands (MAAP, Cuore, etc). Pearl says these have an 'extended inseam'. It's true, these are excessively long. Lastly, the straps are a joke. They twist up in the back because they aren’t connected to each other like 99% of all bibs."
Men’s Pro Black
"I recently retired and planning on riding (bike packing) the east coast greenway starting in Maine Sep 8. Every day is 70+ miles (when riding) and I wanted to try bibs for long haul rides since I have time to plan long haul rides like cross country. Absolutely love the material and the leg grips. Also, the pad is exceptional. I’m 6’-2” and 206 lbs. The fit for the XL is a bit tight and I can’t see how guys bigger than I am would fit comfortably. I’m not triathlete material but, in the gym two to three times a week and ride 120 to 150 miles a week. I primarily ride road, gravel once a week and bike pack when possible. And not sure why you sewed on clunky straps. Compared to the pro bib they seem to be a way to differentiate the pro black from other bibs. Not a fan. As an fyi, I have been wearing the pro pearl bibs for 20+ years and will buy the pro bibs in the future, not the pro black."
Amazing
"These are the best bib shorts PI has ever put out. The PRO Levitate 3D Chamois is their most comfortable by a long shot. Materials are great, the straps are comfortable and stay in place. Very happy."
PI Pro Black Bibs
"I’m 6’ 2”, 34” waist and 34” inseam. These bibs ran small. Haven’t purchased PI bibs before but followed the sizing chart and chose Lg. Should have chosen XL for the bibs as these are a little too tight. I can get in them, they’re just too tight on the crotch and thigh area (more of a sprinter than distance rider). I wear XL in Rapha Pro Team bibs but my XL PI rain coat is too large, so I thought the sizing chart might be correct."
PI Pro/Black Bib Shorrts
"Feather light fabric feels amazing! UV protection and advanced cooling combined with the advanced chamois makes this the best ever bib."
I know why Alexi looks so grouchy
"I don’t love these. They run a bit small. The fabric does seem to breathe better. The deal-breaker is the straps, though. What was wrong with the pattern on the Pro bibs? Are you saving that much on the costed BOM? These straps take forever to get on without bunching and wrinkles. I won’t buy these again until this is improved."
Great Bib - Pesky Straps
"3D Levitate chamois is S tier. So comfortable. The bin material fits and feels great. The straps don’t have much structure and aren’t stitched where they cross at the back. This makes them light and comfy but also hard to position and the bunch easily. I adjust mine during a ride a few times. Still worth it for the overall fit and chamois."
Need better strap design
"I like the bibs, they fit great. What I don’t like is that the straps aren’t connected when they cross to your shoulder. Some might like that but the straps bunch up and move around a lot. 99% of the bibs I’ve worn have them connected at some point on your back to keep them in place."
