Newer versions, like the C0 formula used in the Quest WxB, are also PFAS-free.
WxB 2.5L Membrane
The WxB (Wet-weather Barrier) membrane is PEARL iZUMi’s dedicated rain fabric. The outer layer carries the DWR finish to repel surface water, while the breathable waterproof middle layer blocks moisture from getting in and lets sweat vapor escape. How To Layer for Rain Rides
Getting your system right matters. Here’s a quick framework:
Cool and wet (45–60°F): A rain jacket over a lightweight baselayer is usually enough. Vent on climbs.
