For deep-winter riding, the Women’s AmFIB® Gel Gloves bring together warmth, protection, and control in a design that doesn’t compromise dexterity. Built with 100g PrimaLoft® Gold insulation with Cross Core™ technology, they use Aerogel particles to deliver maximum warmth with minimal bulk, so you can maintain confident bar feel in freezing conditions.
The AmFIB® softshell back blocks wind and sheds light moisture, while an Ax Suede Laredo synthetic leather palm ensures durability and reliable grip. A 3D gel palm pad reduces vibration without adding excess thickness, keeping comfort high and handling sharp. Thoughtful details include a middle-finger pull tab for easy removal, touchscreen-compatible fingertips, and a microfiber thumb panel that doubles as a sweat wipe.

USE SIMPLE DETERGENTS WITH NO ADDITIVES Never use detergents with fabric softeners, perfumes or any additive type product. The general rule of thumb is the simpler the better. Many detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance. Typically the best detergents to use will have "Clear" or "Free" in their names. Don't pour the detergent directly onto the clothing, put it in the washer first, when you start the water. If something is not functionally working, but is not dirty, try rinsing it twice in warm to hot water. This will help get rid of the harmful surfactants. READ THE CONTENT CARE LABEL: On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece. On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions. On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves YOU CAN USE THE DRYER, CAREFULLY: If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting). This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities. If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.

"Wore them for a 2. 5 hour bike ride in freezing temps (high 20s F / just below zero C) and they were great. Fit was snug but I think it helps with using the touch screen. Surprised how well the touch works since they are a bulky glove. Love them - recommended to all my cycling friends"
Disappointed and Unimpressed!
"I was so disappointed in these. I tried a medium, which is my normal size in Pearl Izumi gloves, but they were far too snug. Went to another store and tried a large and they barely fit any different. Took them home anyway and tried them on my trainer to see if they'd be comfortable, but it was quickly clear they would not work. They are too snug and bulky and do not provide the necessary airspace to keep your digits warm on cold days. They really need to go back to the drawing board on their sizing. It's as if they didn't take into account that the insulation takes up space. I'm a petite person with a slender hand (size 7. 5) and shorter fingers, but the large left no space anywhere. I'm forced to look at other brands."
Just Fine, Not Extremely Warm
"I am a new E-bike commuter in Boston and bought these to keep warm on my less than 20min commutes. I have worn these on some of our 30 degree evenings and they do help my hands from completely freezing but my thumbs still get cold. I also got a tear in the lining of my left glove after less than 2 weeks of use. I am hoping Pearl Izumi will provide a replacement. I’m planning on trying the heavier weight and version and lighter weight version for colder/warmer weather. I have pretty small hands but sized up to a medium based on the size chart and other reviewers - they basically fit well. Overall a fine mid range glove so far, but not the best quality for the price."

"This is icy second pair of these gloves. They are perfect for cooler rides when the temperature hovers around 0-5 degrees Celsius. Great control over shifters and brakes."

"In winter I cycle in temp down to 2C. I wear these gloves between 2 and 7C. Above that temp they are too warm. I think they would be warm enough to about -2c. I would prefer a glove with parameters between 2-10 C."
Awesome pair of Gloves, with some caveats.
"I was looking for a pair of gloves that would actually keep my hands warm while I cycle to work during the winter time (Canadian winter I might add) most of those other gloves that say they will keep your hands warm really don't understand the power of wind chill. Anyway the point is these will actually keep your hands warm of course as long as the temps don't drop below -10C, because if the temps do drop the cold will slowly leak in (gradually to be expected). The fit is not what I expected to be honest most gloves that say small aren't actually small and I can usually fit two fingers in one finger socket. These are actually small and is almost perfect fit for my small hands (thank heavens because most gloves are bulky and there is more air than fit). The touch screen compatibility is hit or miss unfortunately my fingers are not long so I can't actually reach the end where it will work all the time (though it does work if you can warm up the ends a little). TL:DR Good above -10C, good fit, and touch screen works if you have long fingers."
