USE SIMPLE DETERGENTS WITH NO ADDITIVES Never use detergents with fabric softeners, perfumes or any additive type product. The general rule of thumb is the simpler the better. Many detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance. Typically the best detergents to use will have "Clear" or "Free" in their names. Don't pour the detergent directly onto the clothing, put it in the washer first, when you start the water. If something is not functionally working, but is not dirty, try rinsing it twice in warm to hot water. This will help get rid of the harmful surfactants. READ THE CONTENT CARE LABEL: On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece. On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions. On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves YOU CAN USE THE DRYER, CAREFULLY: If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting). This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities. If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.

"We haven't actually hit summer in the Southwest yet (although you wouldn't know that from current temps) so I haven't used it in the real heat yet. But having taken one out on one ride I think it's gonna be great when the real heat hits. Well made and although I would not have generally chosen this pattern. . it's under a jersey so who cares. One caveat is that it seems to run small. I have always gotten large when buying Pearl stuff and this definitely seems to be running a bit small. . . that's the only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. Otherwise excellent product as you would expect from Pearl."

"I wear large in anything that’s average sizing and ordered the xl in this and still very very tight. It works but it’s so tight I can see it ripping in the future just trying to take it off. If it was bigger would be 5/5"

"I've been wearing these baselayers for 2 seasons now and find that they are a great option for the spring and fall and I wear them on every ride. The sleeveless option is my preferred one and I have a few. Highly recommended if you want something that doesn't add bulk, but does help to regulate temp."

"I have never really worn base layers. However got this right before a 200 mile bike ride and glad I did. It was a warmer day than expected but I felt the base layer helped throughout the heat of the day. Definitely going to keep these in rotation for the summer days."
