Many detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance. Typically the best detergents to use will have "Clear" or "Free" in their names. Don't pour the detergent directly onto the clothing, put it in the washer first, when you start the water. If something is not functionally working, but is not dirty, try rinsing it twice in warm to hot water. This will help get rid of the harmful surfactants. READ THE CONTENT CARE LABEL: On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece. On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions. On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves YOU CAN USE THE DRYER, CAREFULLY: If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting). This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities. If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.

Excellent hooded long sleeve
"Great hoody. Fits snug (I’m a 40 regular and wear Small t-shirts - the Medium fits perfectly but more like a small). The side ZipCar pockets are deep inside which is helpful, and the chest zip pocket fits my phone. Have worn it cross-country skiing, fatbiking, and it worked great. Wore it out with friends and it looked great, not as ‘bike clothes. ’"

"This piece is a nice compliment for layering with my other cold weather gear. When temps warm up it will be great for the outer layer. I like how the hood fits underneath the helmet and takes the place of a cycling beanie on chilly days."

"The overall fit is pretty good. I typically wear a medium, but this jacket runs small and a large would have been better. The sleeve length is perfect, but the waist length is a tad high and tends to ride up."

Great- unless you ride in the woods
"Fit is fine, but I noticed when I unwrapped it that the material seemed even more flimsy than my PI thermal road jerseys. Sure enough, first ride, first bit of honeysuckle brush sticking out into the trail, it snagged and tore. Can’t imagine how it will handle actually wiping out. I have a 25-year-old Bellwether thermal jersey that’s been on the same trails the whole time with no holes."
