Spawned from rugged Colorado winters, the Lobster Evo gloves combine mitten-level warmth with fingertip control through a clever split finger design. Ideal for sub-30°F winter rides, they offer the heat of a mitten with the precision of a glove.

The design splits the index and middle fingers for enhanced dexterity and touchscreen compatibility, while maintaining a mitten grouping for the ring and pinkie for maximum warmth. Under the hood, 170 g PrimaLoft® Gold with Cross Core™ insulation (with aerogel particles) delivers exceptional thermal performance with minimal bulk, wrapped in AmFIB® softshell panels for wind and moisture protection.

The palm features durable AX® Suede Laredo synthetic leather for grip and abrasion resistance, and includes a middle-finger pull-off tab for effortless removal on the fly. The thumb offers an ultra-soft microfiber sweat wipe for face comfort. Fit is secured with a hook-and-loop wrist closure that allows easy adjustment, even when donning or removing the gloves.

Touchscreen capability on thumb and index finger keeps you connected on the move. Visibility is enhanced with BioViz™ reflective elements visible up to 100 m in low light.

Designed to conquer cold-weather rides, the Lobster Evo gloves are best suited for temps below 30°F when warmth, control, and rideability matter most.

Pair with other AmFIB® cold-weather cycling gear for even more insulation when temps plunge.

FAQs

The AmFIB® Lobster Evo Gloves are winter cycling gloves that combine mitten-level warmth with the control of a glove, for rides below 30°F.

  • What are lobster gloves?
Gloves that group some fingers together so they share warmth like a mitten. On the Lobster Evo, the index and middle fingers are split for dexterity and touchscreen use, while the ring and pinkie fingers stay grouped for maximum warmth.

  • How cold can I ride in them?
They're built for rides below 30°F, the point where standard winter gloves stop keeping fingers warm.

  • What insulation do they use?
170 g PrimaLoft® Gold with Cross Core™ insulation, which contains aerogel particles and gives strong warmth with minimal bulk, wrapped in AmFIB® softshell panels that block wind and moisture.

  • Can I still brake and shift?
Yes. The split index and middle fingers keep enough dexterity to brake and shift precisely, which is the difference between a lobster glove and a mitten.

  • Can I use a touchscreen?
Yes, on the thumb and index finger. A middle-finger pull-off tab also makes them easy to remove on the fly.

  • How do they compare to the AmFIB® Lobster Gel Gloves?
The AmFIB® Lobster Gel Gloves add a 3D gel palm pad. Both use the same 170 g PrimaLoft® Gold insulation; the Lobster Evo leaves out the gel pad.

  • How do I wash cycling gloves?
Close the hook-and-loop closure so it doesn't snag, wash cold on a gentle cycle, and skip fabric softener. Air-dry away from direct heat.

Super High Quality Gloves

"My last pair of PI gloves lasted me 25 years, looking forward to the same for these gloves"

— David A. (5/5)

Mittens can be cool, er. . . warm.

"Perfect balance of warmth and fit. Not bulkier than it needs to be. This is the second pair I have purchased. Why? I bought them for a friend I like them so much."

— Christopher K. (5/5)

"Warm and more low profile than they spoear in photos. Rad gloves, i love em."

— Kevin (5/5)

Disappointed

"Do not keep my fingers warm enough at 45deg or colder. Was very disappointed how a 15mph wind adversely affected the gloves. I could feel that wind. Can not use at temps below 45 as comfortably as I had hoped."

— Mark f. (2/5)

Warm Well Made Glove

"Glove is well made and keeps my fingers warm in 20 degree weather when wearing liners. The cuff covers wrists very well and velcro at the wrist seals in the warmth. I have no problems shifting or breaking in these gloves. True to size."

— Michelle V. (5/5)

Great product!

"Well made and super functional."

— Alex K. (5/5)

Not warm enough

"My hands freeze when it’s cold out and I wear these"
