Barrier Collection

Barrier is our wind protection family: light, packable shells and vests that block wind without the bulk or heat of a thermal layer. The point of a Barrier piece is that it goes on for a descent or an exposed stretch and comes off again without ceremony, which is why it appears across nearly every franchise we make.

Where You'll Find It

Quest: the Barrier Jacket and the Barrier Convertible, whose sleeves come off to make it a vest mid-ride.

Attack: Barrier Jacket and Barrier Vest, in men's and women's.

Summit: the Summit Barrier Jacket and Summit Wind Jacket for trail riding.

Pi PRO/BLACK: the Wind Vest, our lightest, using a wind-blocking front and mesh back.

Hybrid: Hybrid Wind Pants, for wind protection on the lower half.

Jacket, Vest, or Convertible

Vest: protects the core and chest while arms stay free to shed heat. The most-carried option for rolling terrain.

Jacket: covers the arms too, for sustained chill, long descents, and early starts.

Convertible: removable sleeves, so one piece handles a wide temperature swing in a single ride.

Part of a Bigger System

Barrier blocks wind and leaves warmth to your layers. When cold rather than wind is the problem, step up to 3L windproof or the AmFIB® platform. For rain, go to WxB®. All of it sits under wind protection.
