Men's Cycling Warmers & Protection

Men's Cycling Warmers & Protection

Men's Cycling Warmers & Protection

Modular comfort for real-world miles. Our men's cycling warmers and protection add coverage when temps swing, sun bites, or roads get rough: UPF sun sleeves for peak heat, thermal arm, knee, and leg warmers for cold starts, and pedal-friendly guards for confident control. No extra. All essential.

Sun & Thermal

Sun sleeves (UPF): cooling coverage that beats reapplying sunscreen; see Cycling Sun Sleeves & Warmers and full Sun Protection.

Arm / knee / leg warmers: soft thermal fleece for shoulder season; stash in a pocket when it warms; browse Cycling Warmers.

Road & Gravel Protection

Add low-bulk knee & elbow guards for rough chipseal and mixed-surface days. They breathe on climbs and stay put in the drops.

Temperature & Conditions Guide

75°F and up (24°C+): UPF sun sleeves for burn-free miles; fingerless gloves.

55 to 75°F (13 to 24°C): arm and knee warmers plus a wind vest for dawn starts and long descents.

40 to 55°F (4 to 13°C): thermal arm and leg warmers; add a breathable wind jacket.

Rain & spray: pair warmers with Men's Wet Weather shells and seal with shoe covers.

Fit & Sizing

Warmers should run snug with silicone grippers lying flat, no gaps and no pinch. Guards sit secure without cutting circulation and clear your kit in the ride position. If you're between sizes, check our Size & Fit Guide.

Finish the System

Round out your kit with gloves, packable jackets & vests, and rain protection, purpose-built pieces that work so well, they disappear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about PEARL iZUMi products.

  • For long days, sleeves deliver consistent UPF coverage and a cooling effect without reapplication, which is a real advantage at altitude or in desert heat.

  • Reach for arm warmers on cool starts, knee warmers when you want joint warmth with minimal bulk, and leg warmers for full-length coverage as temperatures drop.

  • As a rough guide, arm warmers shine from about 55 to 70°F, especially for cool morning starts you'll ride out of. Below that, step up to thermal warmers. Either way, they stash in a pocket the moment you warm up.

  • They can. UPF fabric blocks direct sun while moisture-wicking, quick-drying yarns spread sweat for an evaporative cooling effect, so covered arms often feel cooler than bare skin in strong sun. See our full Sun Protection range.

  • Yes. Light, slip-on guards add confidence on chunky gravel or rough pavement without the bulk of downhill pads, and they breathe well enough to keep on during climbs.

  • Wash cold, skip fabric softener, and air-dry. Reapply DWR to water-resistant warmers as needed, and periodically inspect guard straps and foam for wear.
