The Pearl Izumi Ultra Team had 3 runner’s out in Southern California this weekend for the Leona Divide 50 on Sunday.

Dylan Bowman, who is brand new to the team this year, broke a 17 year course record and absolutely crushed the race finishing 1st overall in a time of 6:00:38. Timothy Olson finished 2nd place overall a few minutes behind in 6:07:34.

On the women’s side of the race, Ashley Nordell took 2nd overall in a time of 7:36:56.

The Leona Dived 50 is one of the qualifying races for the Western States 100; with those 3 finishes, all 3 Pearl athletes earn entries.

LAKE SONOMA 50 MILER

Pearl Izumi Ultra Runners Timothy Olson and Nick Clark headed out to California for the Lake Sonoma 50mile race, which boasted one of the most competitive fields thus far.

Both Olson and Clark ran at the front of the group for the entirety of the race and both finished on the podium faster than the previous course record time.

COSTA RICA JUNGLEMAN TRAIl RACE

Pearl Izumi Ultra Runner Dylan Bowman won the Costa Rica Jungleman Trail Race this weekend with a time of 3:12:25.

Dylan’s time is really impressive, considering he had to run in loose sand for 26.2 miles!
CHUCKANUT 50K

Several members of the Pearl Izumi Ultra Team headed up to Washington State for the Chuckanut 50k, one of the fastest and most competitive ultra’s in the nation.

The athletes braved rain, sleet, snow and occasional sunshine with over 500 other competitors in the 20th running of this race.
